like, the *software* is great, I love android 2.x, but the hardware seems to be very easily breakable unfortunately. nonetheless I do like the design of it at least, it's pretty cool :)
Voir le postI'm going to be brutally honest: it's because the hardware sucks. I have two nexus ones and both of them are broken in different ways. one does not boot at all and the other boots but randomly shuts off after a while and bootloops until you leave it off for a few hours.

Voir le postsome other htc devices are pretty similar too, most notably the nexus one. although, I can say as someone who nearly bricked mine multiple times, using a bootloader exploit to install the blackrose bootloader was not only not an issue but actually helped me fix it. some day I'll tell that odd story.
Voir le postfor a while I have been planning on making a bootloader replacement designed specifically to make it more difficult to brick, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. while engineering spl / hardspl is fine, I wouldn't otherwise recommend flashing a new bootloader without a jtag hardware mod.
