    If we don't figure out what went wrong, there will be more Mariahs failed by our city. That is unacceptable. If the Auditor doesn't take this on, we will have to pursue other options. Mariah's family deserves answers, and every survivor in Minneapolis deserves a system that protects them. 5/

    Mariah was a 34-year-old Black woman, shot and killed outside her home on September 14, 2025. Before her death, she repeatedly asked MPD for help and protection. She did everything survivors of domestic violence are told to do, and the system still failed her. 2/
