  Undoubtedly. Kagi’s cost DOES make sense (the old axiom: when a product is free, the product is you), but making sense doesn’t help me afford yet another subscription. The real solution is a community sourced and funded index — the Wikipedia model — but building critical community mass is HARD.

  Oh that's really frustrating, I lost interest in ddg when they added more Ai shit. I still use their tracker blocking stuff but kagi is a better search engine by function. Death to ai, it's ruining every aspect of our lives.

  I use kagi now and it's not perfect but at least it follows boolean search conventions and you can block any sites flagged as Ai content and can block entire sites it didn't catch manually from a drop down menu and I'm so depressed we have to scrounge for a fucking *search engine*

  Don’t get me wrong — I use ddg as my primary search. I just find I often have to start that search with !g cause the index is shit.
