    So we're dealing with a super concentrated discourse cycle. Seven episodes to process instead of one, all without ao3! That's a huge change, and we're all feeling our way through it, no matter what we thought about things. IDK, I guess I'm asking that we cut each other and ourselves more slack.

    Hate is exhausting, I genuinely get it. But I think we lose something as a fandom by drawing stark lines in the sand and lumping hate in with complicated feelings and people who care so much that the dissonance we're experiencing hurts. We also didn't get months to dissect and discuss each episode.

    in good faith, and I appreciate you so much! A lot of those threads have helped shift my POV. But the overwhelming tide of "you're stupid and media illiterate if you don't 100% see the vision" is having a chilling effect on the dialogue and on people sharing their thoughts. It's a bummer, IMHO.

    I'm processing. And the whole reason I'd like to talk through this stuff is BECAUSE I love Stolas and Stolitz and want to root for them. I'd like to not feel negatively. Unfortunately, it seems like nuanced discussion is getting conflated with hate. Not universally, there are some that are engaging

    I don't hate Stolas. I love Stolas. Stolas has been one of my favorite characters ever. I'm wearing Stolas pjs as I type this. What I'm struggling with after S3a is that I still can't quite make sense of some of his actions and the narrative vs. what I thought I knew and understood previously.
