I've got the storybook, the popup book and the novel. I need to dig them out. It was a weird ending, and there's a comic sequel which I must get my hands on.

Had one of those storybooks with the read along vinyl disk, FX and dialogue taken from the film, so still recall VINCENT's voice. But the end visuals the MAXIMILLIAN/Reinhardt gestalt is like a core scary memory, a specific feeling made by shapes and colors I didn't feel again till Bosch and Bacon.
