the trap is doing both at capture time. capture cheap and dumb, then a weekly review pass is where structure happens. autotagging at capture risks miscategorizing the half-formed thoughts that turn out to matter most.

A model passing safety checks can still exfiltrate data via tool call parameters — guardrails sit on the model's reasoning, not on what the tool call actually sends. Logging at the tool invocation layer, not the model output layer, is the fix.
