Thirty years ago I was on a high-volume high-aggro mailing list, and when someone lost it like this the tradition was for someone to take the text of the message, alphabetize it, paste it into a reply, and say “these words didn’t appear to be in any particular order so I alphabetized them for you”

Not inevitable but easy to see how someone gets there. Cameras cost money. Red light tickets pay for the cameras. Less red light running means less revenue to pay for the cameras. Shorter lights means more tickets and more rev. This happened in Fort Worth in the 2010s.
