Thanks. This a crop from my Pleiades photo, which you can see here: app.astrobin.com/u/sneezingdo.... So about 34 hours under a Bortle 2 sky. Read the description on Astrobin for some interesting commentary.

Bonus image from last night's stargazing session: NGC 281 aka the Pacman Nebula. Only spent about a half hour on this before turning to other targets but still it's got some good detail. I liked the lens flare from the bright star at the top of the frame. #astrophotography

This is Alcyone, the brightest star in the Pleiades. The blue haze around it is dust scattering Alcyone's light back at us. Blue wavelengths scatter more efficiently than red. It's the same basic physics behind a blue daytime sky. #Astrophotography #Astronomy #Photography #Space

A galaxy 31 million light-years away: the #WhirlpoolGalaxy. Its arms are star factories: pink clouds give birth to stars, and blue clusters light them up like streetlights. You can see it with a small telescope. 📸 NASA/ESA/S. Beckwith #Astrophotography #Astronomy
