    It’s why I was pushing everyone to do calls through the Louisiana Dem Party’s GOTV operation. I probably did 100-120 calls. My thinking was Colom had a full campaign operation, but Davis didn’t have a Wiki page but Repubs were running attack ads, so a little effort might have a big payoff.

    So in the end my only miss was I was quite certain David Jolly would win. He almost did! And I was correct that like just about every Black Repub he underperformed the public polls. But not enough to win.

    Haven’t seen this discussed: This wipes out much of the GOP’s operative cadre. The pollsters & media consultants will be fine. But the competent campaign managers & field directors & comms staff for 2028 House races? A lot fewer of them will have jobs the next year & will leave politics.
