Voir le postWhat they're doing is different if they've been hired to edit vs. beta read, but they're not always different people. Many editors list beta reading as a service now, and as professionals, I believe they should be paid. I have only one unpaid beta reader now because the others flaked on me.
Voir le postMy genre is urban fantasy atm with horror / mystery thrown in. With my scripts I don’t usually keep up with word count more so progress points. When I work on novels I set word count goals very low because I know if I can do even 500 words I’ll either write more or at least something lol.
