It isn't some obscure theological thing either, but a clear and obvious implication of one of the most famous principles of Jesus' teaching, quoted directly, *three times* in the gospels, in red-letter verses.

I realize that as a historical matter, generations of Christians have debated the religious implications of their bigotries and Biblical defenses of racism are many and yet - from my reading, at least - the fact that racism is sin seems theologically obvious.

Because racism is a sin, of course. How can you love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39, Mark 12:31, Luke 10:27) if you hate them for their race or think one race is superior and destined for rule and others for slavery.
