Personally, I think “being a proud bigot makes you unacceptable to Democrats” is a good and healthy message. I think we should be clearer about that principle and also apply it to the raging transphobes who are also inexplicably proud of their bigotry and want to harm our trans siblings. Fuck them.

We won’t learn from these incidents so long as people flip offender and victim. Stevens was openly bigoted toward the nominee, who responded she was no longer welcome in his campaign, and then she endorsed another bigot. The througline is Haley Stevens’ bigotry, not el-Sayed responding once.
