    When you posit the idea to someone that spiders may dream, I think there’s something fundamentally telling about what they first imagine as the sort of thing a spider would dream about. One of my kids was convinced that spiders would dream about eating people.

    Same, but I recognize that putting spiders in people’s feeds is not always a kindness. This one looks like a freakin’ hermit crab, and yikes did I do a double-take when I first spotted it. Google believes it to be a Marbled Orb-Weaver. It is awesome but I would like it to move away from my door.
