This will be the last time I get to tell her how Extra Life went, so I want these feelings to fuel me instead of weighing me down. Voir le postI'm glad that she's home, and that we found an incredibly kind and caring hospice nurse that will stick with her. Part of why I've been pushing so hard lately is that I just... didn't want this to take me down or break me. I felt like I was crumbling many times, but I'm still here. I'm still me. ❤️
Voir le postShe's likely entering hospice care soon. The signs are there, and her primary care doc raised it to me. We're not surprised, and thankfully she's not dealing with any pain. I've been processing lots (with therapist help, too), and I'm sad, but I'm ok. This is a part of life I hold with me.
Voir le postI've been able to have a couple short but fairly normal and pleasant conversations with my mom lately. They've been rare, but I truly cherish each one now. Her neuro-disease has taken almost everything from her. But all the work to get her back home with fulltime care was worth it.
