wanting to avoid having your designs look cliche or common or like everyone else’s isn’t a new phenomenon that came about because of AI — pointing out cliches and temporary fads, and how to avoid or break outside of them, is a longstanding practice that predates AI! this isn’t bad or new!

not the designers coming into my mentions trying to explain design to me 🤠 i’m not talking to y’all — use whatever damn motif or pattern u want! i’m so happy for you that you attended art school or have a degree in knowing things keep doing what you wanna do (i get it!), this advice isn’t for you!

p.s. half of what i’m telling you here are practical temporary realities for this present moment, geared towards workers who use AI in their process and who aren’t designers this practical advice is rooted in the context of present day WORK and COMMERCE, not play, hobbies, art, etc

i also recommend people *not* use most of the popular “design skills” for agents, imo they’re a trap
