I research applied category theory / complex systems. I post sporadically about maths, science, random creative projects. Also trans rights these days. Proudly nonbinary, they/them.

I've had some really good news and I can't share it yet, but in the interests of not exploding from the pressure, please let me say it's a good thing for trans artists, and it's a good thing for trans artists in a really meaningful way, and there IS still hope there, and good people doing the work.
Ver postWhen did I say they shouldn't be describable in language? Indeed, one might suggest that the words "people who do/don't medically transition" is that language. I reject a sex/gender binary. I reject calling any subcategory of trans people "cis". That doesn't mean not talking about differences.
Ver postThis analysis isn't based on wanting to be heckin valid, as this implies. There are material differences in needs. Those differences do not legitimise a false delineation between sex/gender, nor calling other trans people "cis".
Ver posti very much agree but i think that part of the reason the sports ballot initiatives and sports as a general wedge issue keep working for the right is because people dont understand what we're choosing to do and the very real effects it has (demonstrably change sex)
