That's a fair point. I suppose I had that impression because I didn't see it until years later when the comparison was unavoidable. Like "Why We Build the Wall" from Hadestown also was written before him, but it resonates. Life imitating art.

one that gets me right now is the penny. Obama acknowledged early the costs of pennies & nickels but said he couldn't stop minting them without Congress passing a law to do so & instead said we should use cheaper metals. but that's just a made up rule! it's been the power of the Treasury since 1792!
