  One problem with landing an airliner at a 14,000-foot airport is the internal cabin pressure is normally set to 8,000 feet. Anything higher than that and the safety system will think there's been depressurization and drop the oxygen masks.

  For reference, the Cessna 172's maximum ceiling - the very highest it can fly, much less safely land - is between 13,000 and 14,000 feet.
