  Just saw Edgerunners 2, and saw D (and a certain other character) thinking back to the idea I had for Minji a while back, when there was only the trailer Am I boned? Or is there hope that this'll just be something to add into the inspiration soup? It's a bit of a scary, but exciting, feeling

  As various themes of self and body/"soul" grew visually apparent, Minji and Shu have grown into philosophical and personality foils that seek similar ends. But Shu would ideally allow the reader to have an immediate human connection in the world of BEASTPUNKS that Minji as of now can't do alone.

  When I was writing over the years, and with the less I relied on Kipo as a sole/primary inspiration, I found that I needed to have the main protagonist(the main POV) be someone that can change, grow, and be a foil to a more antagonistic deuteragonist that Minji became. Shu fit that role very well
