    Like if suddenly every fighting game influencer put their foot down and said, “Look, we don’t want this in our community. Full stop.”, I think that would have some legitimate sway on all the clout vultures pushing these out. Yet I guess the treats must be consumed and the keys must be jingled.

    While I would silently disagree with a nameless gamer trying a vibecoded port, they ultimately aren’t contributing anything to the bigger picture. But when you are THE defacto FGC guy for the common man and you’re the final word on what’s right/wrong, I would be more responsible/insightful.

    And we’re in a purgatory with the latter right now because we can’t push high fidelity graphics if no one can afford hardware and publishers look at the math and say it’s not worth the risk to make games that look like FFVIIR. I just think one would care more than encourage their own extinction.

    With the way the FGC has input latency as their top priority and streamers wanting big visuals: You’d think one would have more self-preservation on your hobbies as due to AI, the former will reach an event horizon of nevering been salvaged with all corps pushing towards streaming/bad DRM (cont.)
