obviously aes outperforming brown and turek is no great feat given their leans, and obviously you're right that being as close as he was to benson indicates no real candidate quality issues (turek underran sand by way more) and winning by 7 is def not needing to be dragged over the line

while i'm here: very tired of discourse being dominated by guys who think they're doing politics moneyball. data science is great and applicable to politics obviously but you are just really on one if you think the "WAR" stuff is defensible. psychology matters a lot in politics, sorry.

we’re going to get a sub-30 approval poll from a serious pollster and it’s probably going to be soon “he blew the midterms in historic fashion” is going to be the breaking point for a few more folks and that’s all we need at this point
