oh by all means don't get me wrong, my point is that this is exactly the conversation we need to have, just NOT NOW. Like, we need to have time to have this conversation and that requires this all happens slowly, not in a "OMG FOLKS WE HAVE 2 WEEKS MIGRATE EVERYTHING!!!"

The service the OTW provides is not AO3 as fanfic discovery service, it's AO3 as the place where your right to upload and distribute content the law keeps squinting very strongly at is protected by an organization ready to fight for your right to do so. We don't have infrastructure like that.

Thanks for the warm reception to The Tell-Tale Hearts... so far it has become my most successful game 😀 Of course, there is credit due to the writers of the other stories which can be found in the Readme. Here's a note from Stiefbelief, writer of "Tubutsch"...

AtProto does actually have a huge opportunity to help create an organization (more than one!!!) similar to the OTW that can find its niche in protecting fanworks and their place in the online, but like. It'd be bad if people jumped into it tomorrow because AO3 is going to be down 2 weeks.
