The idea for this came after I was image-searching some of my art. Where before, Google would have just shown me where else on the internet I can find it, now the AI response automatically popped up - only to refuse, saying exactly the message displayed.

It stuck with me. I thought about the friends and family that had been terrified of sexual feelings, of gender identities, of intrusive thoughts. I know that for every person I know who went through that, there's a million more like them.

Something about sexuality being called 'harmful' really struck me, in a way it's hard to describe. Even this doesn't fully encapsulate it, but- Simply talking about, expressing, investigating sexuality, can not only be denied by the companies that control our knowledge, but actively called harmful?
