  Another good argument for transit over personal vehicles I just read in @jeffspeck.bsky.social ‘s Walkable City - when money is spent on cars and gas, nearly 85% leaves the local economy, usually going to foreign oil and car production. Build bigger and better transit to improve local life for all

  Of course, if Traverse City hired @jeffspeck.bsky.social to fix their cute little downtown shopping street, he would probably just have them convert this one-way to a more reasonable two-way street with extra trees to reduce speeding and promote lingering.
