You'd imagine such a spell would be a priority for ambitious Evil types. Though equally, the powers that be might want to suppress knowledge of such a spell - lots of plot hooks there
Ver postAs for changing alignment - I've always assumed it's a slow affair, so you can't change on a dime. But certainly someone who had once been checked and approved might turn to evil after. Or you could have a magical Manchurian Candidate with a spell or cursed item to change alignment
