    Pivnica Pinta, Zagreb 🇭🇷 1st visit. Last stop. If you hanker after trad Czech type pubs with arched vaults and a beer focus this is where to go! All locals here despite being core old town. Off-season means more here than Prague or Budapest. Small Tomislav (7% dark beer) €2.50. I'll take that 🍻👍

    Tolkien's House, Zagreb 🇭🇷 1st visit. Finally made it here after so many years. Yes. It rules. Best pub I've been to in Zagreb so far. Nova Runda dominates the taps but there's a Zwickl for €4. Wonderfully social with a range of ages. Dog friendly. LOTR-heaven of course, like Lorien in Palma 👍🍻

    Did I outline another short story to write instead of working on the novel? Yes. Yes I did. But it's an interlude to the novel. The novel is from Giulia and Eris' PoV... this interlude is from the PoV of one of the new characters leading up to the moment Team Chaos shows up

    Bunt Bar, Zagreb 🇭🇷 1st visit. Funicular here is part of the experience. Definitely a summer bar for city views, but the interior is colourful and ramshackle even if the faux-rebellious décor leans towards commodified middle class hipster. Craft pale ales on tap, Nova Runda C4 for me. 🍻👍
