With Italian football writing royalty in verona this evening!
Ver postDan spotted so many potential areas that they could do so much better, and the whole organisation was clearly able to simply run itself better having realised what the model could enable them to do. I'm dead proud of the little bit I did to create the conditions.
Ver postNo I was an advisor/caseworker when I worked in Irish football for SD Europe. I only stayed involved as long as I was needed. They were only one decision away from bankruptcy I think it's fair to say. The fact they're even talking about being in competition is wonderful. They've done a great job.
Ver post2/ Thanks to those fans and members, a then proactive existing board member, plus smart politics, they got the chance to turn it around. It's not a miracle, but hard work, and a sprinkling of clever thinking at times from people like Dan Lambert, one of those activists I met at the time.
Ver post1/ One of my early visits to Dalymount was to take part in a meeting of Boh's fans that was a shot in the dark from members, led in part by Gerry Sexton and the Gypsies Supporters Trust. They were millions of Euros in debt, having done what so many Irish clubs had done, and spent it all on players.
