    This article is really good. It's also fascinating to me what a bellwether this particular round of memes was in terms of jumping the shark. It was so obviously insular and so hugely driven by 4chan brain, every part of it was hyper online and off-putting. That it was sincere to them was wild.

    Everytime I hear “no political retribution” I think of our country blowing up fishing vessels in the Caribbean and then going back to kill the survivors. Until now, the republicans have owned that unspeakably evil behavior. If the democrats do nothing about it, they are collaborators.
