    I'm glad we're all having fun dunking on fascists for venerating Anakin Skywalker (lol, lmao), but let's not forget that Star Wars is home to a fandom that has fought tooth and nail against every attempt to expand representation within the property.

    The thing is, there's a degree of privilege (or of privileging a certain experience) necessary to argue that civil rights, that trans rights, that immigration aren't "kitchen table" issues. Pretty much we need to ask these operatives "whose kitchen table are you talking about?"
