    Kokoomuksen kannalta vaikeaa on se, että suurta osaa oikeistolaisista äänestäjistä ei näytä missään maassa motivoivan abstraktit ajatukset "markkinataloudesta" tai talousliberalismista, vaan enemmänkin konservatiivimoralistinen sosiaalipummien ja byrokratian vastustaminen. Persut ovat tässä vahvoja.

    I'm a reluctant advocate of leaving Westminster and building a new Parliament. But that, too, will cost serious money - and something will still have to be done about the old building. Just waiting for it to fall down, and hoping not too many people are killed, should not be an option.
