    While I find this whole business of refighting 2024 over and over a bit pointless, “you didn’t impress me as a candidate so I’m not going to vote for you even though this will likely fuck me over personally” isn’t thinking about politics rationally.

    Agreed. A mediocre candidate will always be better than a bad one. Progressives need to think with their head. Politics should not be a purity contest.

    I think we profoundly agree on that assessment. And yet, I think staying at home and not voting, and thus giving the power to fascists who will likely make the genocide a lot worse is not a moral option.
