GenAI boosters take the view that "with genAI, we can cut those corners and optimize the process at previously unseen efficiencies!" and idk man if I had a billion dollars one of my dreams is to give the coolest artists I know infinite patronage to make whatever they want as slowly as they want

The deeply sad thing about AI chucklenuts openly masturbating about how great it is not to need other people for anything is that the slow process of creative collaboration fucking RULES. What sucks is when commercial concerns force you to rush and optimize and cut corners off that process.

Mark Zuckerberg is straight up way more evil than Elizabeth Holmes but because he’s got a lot of money the tech press has to go to his little events and pretend his ideas are valid instead of being like “what’s up with that dumbass shirt?” and “don’t you regularly influence elections/genocides?”
