  The first school building in Las Vegas, the former Salt Lake Hotel in town, opened with two teachers and 64 students at the "southwest corner of 2nd and Lewis" on Oct 2, 1905. The building and remodeling cost $700. It was in use until 1910. PDF: bit.ly/2fRzGqz

  Built in 1905, the Bank of Sparks building in Sparks, NV was added to the National Register of Historic Places on Sep 28, 2007. The bank closed in 1950. It has been occupied by a tuxedo and bridal shop for over 15 years. t.co/4k03VpF1q3

  The Sep 19, 1863 Reese River Reveille was compelled to explain the relative locations of the neighboring towns of Clifton and Austin, Nevada Territory. t.co/XrTrCvVTHj Note: Clifton was down the hill from Austin at the entrance to Pony Canyon. No mention of Upper Austin.
