  So sad to hear this. Marta contributed to our final-year undergraduate @geneticscam.bsky.social teaching for around 5 years, even under no obligation to do so while an research investigator. My thoughts and deepest sympathies especially to her family, and her group members in the LMB.

  Incredibly sad to hear the news that we lost Marta Shahbazi in the train accident in Madrid. Marta was always an inspiration back when we studied biology in uni, and has been an exceptional researcher since. She was traveling to receive the prize from the Spanish dev society. How is this possible..
