I see there's someone suggesting people caught up in the AO3 takedown register the copyrights on their fanfic to protect it from scraping, etc, and, oh, boy, is this really not a great idea. I assure you that Disney, et al will not take kindly to that. "But they have to find out!" THEY WILL FIND OUT

I always assume anything I put there is at risk of scraping, used to train AIs etc. Giving even the slightest hint you might want to monetise your fic is an idea several stations beyond stupid. I have seen people driven out of fandoms for less, let alone vulnerability to meeja companies.
