Any of the oldheads around who remember back when I used to write loads of transfeminist theory? Now I just do strategic litigation and get accused of misreading Butler. Big sad 😢 (Ps – if you google my name + Butler you will find a rather critical book review by me, from a few years ago)

Your analysis will be far more precise if you talk about the importance of the actual things you want to talk about – rather than invent ways to call other trans people cis.

    1) No, I obviously do not accept that sex is a "natural heuristic" 2) If a transsexual = a person who needs HRT, then does an AFAB enby who has top surgery + phallo not change their sex? How about someone who takes T but changes nothing else. Do they? Why these kinds of category are nonsense.

I suppose maybe that is just less fun than drawing up nonsense binaries and calling other trans people cis.

Well, you could always start with "people who do/don't need access to HRT"?
