    Playing the Ocarina of Time remake feels really weird. I primarily played the 3DS remake growing up and it undeniably made my connection with nature very strong. A lot of my free time during childhood was spent playing outside and sneaking out into one of the many forests I lived by.

    I remember pretending to be in the worlds I was inspired by; mostly Pokemon and Zelda. I would bring my ocarina with me when I went out so I could play for the plants like Saria would. I’d convince my friends to build huts out of sticks so we could make the forest look more populated-

    So maybe people wouldn’t be as scared to be in them anymore. It is a privilege to have grown up where doing these activities wasn’t novel and was simply what my normal was. But a lot of what I liked about Ocarina of Time, was how vague it left a lot of things.

    Even playing the 3DS remake, there were a lot of details about the environment that weren’t super developed. Limitations made it so every detail needed to mean or infer something about how people used or lived with the world. That is probably what I liked the most about Ocarina of Time
