And it's not whataboutism (it almost never is) to compare and contrast these "logics" to notice them: Why should academic work, or an academic in their work, be such that it can deploy this form of sentence for AI but not, e.g. sexism?

It's NOT that all thinking can be reduced to simple rules NOR that simple rules cannot help us. Dialectics are cool. The point is that this kind of hedging is not OK, applying this kind of reasoning isn't appropriate:
