    Transmisogyny is the disciplining mechanism exercised against those who fail to conform to the reproductive destiny of manhood. It's a consequence of having to maintain gender as a strict binary hierarchy of male supremacy (what @juliaserano.bsky.social calls traditional sexism).

    Well the "intersection of transphobia and misogyny" is kind of a pop-etymology of the term that doesn't even use the actual definition in "Whipping Girl". It doesn't make sense either, because it's not an intersection of two things. It's not like transphobia can be neatly separated from misogyny.
