No state has the "right to exist," for the simple reason that rights adhere to individuals, not states. A state has *legitimacy* to the extent it respects individual rights; to the extent it ceases doing so, it loses legitimacy. This is very basic Liberalism 101.

There's a kind of high school debate bro who thinks browbeating people, distorting what they said, and talking down to them is the same as winning an argument. It never gets less obnoxious or more convincing.

I met Kirchick a while back, on a podcast, where I said I thought Netanyahu was committing genocide, and he tried to steamroll me, call me an anti-semite, talked over me, just a total dick. Deeply unpleasant person, but also proof that large media outlets will tolerate Islamophobia

And she can't handle the fact that if she makes a big announcement and says she's taking her ball and going home, voters aren't coming with her because they do not owe her personal loyalty. She's just a narcissist and is happy to bring the whole place down if she can't get her way
