Insofar as heterarchy simply recognizes that there was not a single, hegemonic order but different spheres of life in which various hierarchies existed and overlapped, I think it's a helpful scholarly term—though I also don't think it changes much other than avoiding a loaded term.
Ver postThat's probably true—I'm not an expert in your work. But I don't think I missed your argument in the CT piece. It's quite clear IMO, insofar as there is an argument at all. It seems to me riddled with fallacies and non sequiturs. But I'd be happy to grab a beer at SBL and hash that out.
Ver postWow! What a fascinating and enjoyable conversation this is to listen to, no kidding. One does not need to be particularly interested in Bible translation or linguistics to learn something of value from this. Thank you @drujohnson.com and @hebraicthought.org
Ver postExcellent interview with “…Old Testament scholar and licensed therapist Michelle Keener….“ Encouraging, instructive, and helpful. And Dru Johnson’s review of and comments on Terrence Malick‘s The Tree of Life are spot on. @hebraicthought.org @drujohnson.com @michellekeener.bsky.social
