This probably sounds overly dramatic and theatrical like a knight preaching his loyalty, but to have a client commission me again is often more than just high praise. To me, it really does feel a lot like that "You Are Safe Now My Sweet Child / I Owe You My Life" meme. I'm always so damn grateful.

I get excited when I see the characters of my clients in the wild, be it their own art or commissions from other artists. I feel like a proud relative. It's always funny when I unexpectedly trip over a Spicy™ art piece because I'll always audibly say "oH, hi there [insert name]!" with a chuckle.

On the other side of this, while I am usually unable to commission frequently, it's really nice to come back to an artist and have them be like "aw yiss I get to draw your character again" That kind of connection is so special

Many of my recurring clients won't know this because I'll deliberately avoid letting on how severe personal ongoings are, but they've helped me afford food and rent and vet bills when I was in dire straits. Words cannot describe just how committed I am when I say that I would Live for these people.

I get excited when people pop up in my order form again! To me, a recurring client is one of the biggest honours and compliments and artist can ever have. I also develop such an endearment to their characters - even my husband recognizes some and knows them by name at this point haha
