But tonight, I was able to reconnect with one of their mom's. She told me they had all gone to a concert this weekend, now seniors in high school (they were 8th graders when I had them). And they were asking about me, wondering how I was doing. It was good to hear that they remembered me fondly.
Ver postBut there were a few "good ones"- kids who cared. Kids who wanted to be better. And I tried to do what I could for them. I left that school and sadly lost all track of them. Different boro, different world. And 4 years is an eternity in this game.

Other teachers were actively undermining me behind my back. And most of the students seemed beyond disinterested and disrespectful.
