  Blast from the past. I just received this in the post from Steve Busby. NATO Advanced Study Institute on Molecular Microbiology at U. Birmingham, c1997. I was there as was @drgvank.bsky.social and @dirkscheffers.bsky.social. Steve (on the right) organised it and Julian Davis is in the front row.

  The last couple of days it has been difficult to comprehend what has happened to our dear colleague. Tragically taken too soon, at the prime of her life and career. My thoughts are with her family, lab members and those who know her well. R.I.P. Marta. We’ll miss you very much 💔.
