Post anzeigenThat is a well-known shortcoming of the definition of P. (And when I say well-known I mean eg at the level of: any teacher worth their salt points this out in intro undergrad classes.) So…that particular fact isn’t really a consequence of this result.
Post anzeigenThis is St. John's Wood near Lecarrow, Roscommon, on the western shore of Lough Ree. Only 260 acres, it's one of the few remaining portions of original forest in Ireland. (Whether there's any *truly* primeval forest left in Ireland, a country once almost wholly forested, is debated.)
Post anzeigenI wouldn't say it is uniquely good, but it is good for some things. If you're using the theory of computation to model natural phenomena, those may not look anything like current computer architectures, but P and NP will (likely) still be the same class in those models.
