I'm not one prone to conspiracy theories but an 11% selloff on news that $ASTS has enabled seamless handoffs between the terrestrial network and satellite network is 🤔. Seriously impressive technical accomplishment.
Post anzeigenI think the probability of AST having demand for 600-700 satellites is much higher now. Annual replacement drives 100/year satellites so doing it in house has the potential to save big $$$ and provide much more control. Governments want to move away from SpaceX reliance.

Post anzeigenAlso worth noting in this release. The Government has the right to force SpaceX to launch $ASTS satellites. There is a very good reason the government has been testing low-band radar using 902-928 Mhz spectrum. That radar penetrates foliage and is super valuable. Very unique capability.
