Post anzeigenThe logical conclusion here is that systemic misogyny is more constraining of transmasculine people as a group than it is of transfeminine people as a group. Which I don’t have a problem with saying, but it’s definitely not what transmisogyny theorists tend to argue
Post anzeigenBut it definitely pushes against the popular tendency in trans thought to analytically distance trans men from misogyny and bring trans women closer to it. Again, no problem there on my end, but if that’s the case let’s address that.
Post anzeigenThis is also why debating whether anti-transmasculinity has a unique central structure seems beside the point for me; the tendency has been to place transmascs as some kind of secondary or even tertiary subjects of misogynistic oppression and that’s pretty obviously ridiculous.
