He's triangulating his way out of a losing coalition. Of course his rhetoric will retain aspects of Nazism. The GOP is a Nazi party! He's signaling to his base. The point is the Nazis just lost in historic fashion last night and they need to change. Vance is starting the process.

Vance seems genuinely frightened bythis result. I'm eager to see if the GOP writ large shows the same contrition. They won't change out of good conscience so much as out of necessity. But who cares ✨why✨ someone decides to stop being a Nazi? The point is we have one fewer Nazi.

My slightly more optimistic read of this situation is: while you can't put all the fascist staffers and teen groypers back in the bag, it's a very encouraging sign that the most visible MAGA heir apparent is stepping back from the cliff. If 26+28 mean actual realignment, the Nazi bit won't work.
