Post anzeigenfinished Control Resonant. not without its flaws, it's a little messy in spots, its structure means it whiffs on moments where other tighter Remedy games don't it's also incredibly ambitious, touches on themes i've never (?) seen in games, and the moments it does land frequently left me speechless
Post anzeigenthe back third of the game is just the coolest shit you've seen immediately outdone by something cooler. it does an extended sequence i won't spoil but is the kind of thing any other studio would have shot down as being unserious or cringe. i really, really loved it.
Post anzeigenin a better world, most AAA studios would work this way where some of the team gets a chance at something big and different and gets to swing for the fences. you can feel Sam Lake's absence, but you can absolutely feel the trust and experience fostered in the studio during every minute of it.
