Western gaming journalism really just... outright HATED anything japanese/cartoony in the 90s-00s. And even the JPN games they did enjoy still had this "freak show" view of them. Drink anytime a Katamari review back then says "weird" or proclaims the devs were on drugs. Don't actually, you'll die.

The problem with disassembling/researching Katamari is that any time I enter a stage to check something, I end up playing for 5... 10... 15 minutes... What a great game. Anyway, have some more shots of unfinished and test stages from the TGS demo.
